The 2nd coordination meeting of the European RE-LIVE WASTE project was held on 6th, 7th and 8th February.
The venue was the headquarters of La Unió (València), which was attended by around 20 people, technically, project managers, various universities, public administrations and private companies.
The objective of the RE-LIVE WASTE project is to stimulate innovation between public institutions and private companies for a more efficient management of waste from intensive livestock farming, facilitating cooperation between researchers, companies, public authorities and civil society.
The first day a field visit was made to the place where the future pilot plant will be located; the second day was one of internal discussions and decisions, and finally, during the third day there was space to share other projects by the partners. In the case of La Unió, the LIFE LCFEED was presented, since in both projects it is about revaluing agricultural by-products by providing them with added value and promoting the circular economy and green growth.
The support of the University of Sassari (Cyprus) has been obtained when it comes to replicating the business model in other countries.
