Bio-economy as a basis for a sustainable society

The bio-economy marks the course towards a more efficient economic model in the use of resources.
 

Bio-economy means a renewable biological resources sustainably to produce goods with an added value like feed for animals, bio-products or bio-energy.

It has become into a key concept to make priorities of a sustainable development and it was borned to face the different challenges in today’s society.

 

The LIFE Low Carbon Feed project has succeeded in complying with this concept by exploiting by-products such as rice straw and pruning of citrus leaves, giving them a way out and solving the environmental problems in which they are often related.
